It is so useless to be a genius, when having an IQ level so above the one of the masses makes it impossible to communicate with them! Being "intelligent" means also have the capacity to make it easy for those that are not so brilliant. Working in the IT field i face also another similar problem, not related to IQ, but related to knowledge: IT people give for granted that everyone else in the world KNOWS all about computers, and cannot avoid talking technically. Take one of those GEEKS, with high IQ, but ZERO whatsoever capacity to communicate in a HUMAN way. He comes out with a computer program that does some fantastic things. There are people out there that DREAM to have such software. I saw with my bare eyes organizations paying hundreds of thousands of euro to buy some not fully functional software solution, when a FREE application, with more powerful functionality was available online.
WHY ?
Well, the expensive non functional application was sold by a sales person able to communicate with the client, and the application used "human" language, didn't expect the user to understand mathematical functions and had a more simple interface.
GEEKS NEEDS HELP!
Ignoring them, just because they are not able to communicate with the rest of us, is a big loss for the community.
